Soo..it's been a couple of days since I last updated..It's been a busy week. We had a very nice Christmas with Sarah, Lauren and Sean last week. It was nice to have company for the holiday..the city tends to be lonely sometimes.
So...GREAT news! Dan's white blood cell count has started to come up. This means that the cells are starting to be an active presence in his body..which is what we've been waiting for. His doctors told him that he could be discharged in about a week or so if his numbers hold steady. How awesome is that?! Then it's just heading back to the hospital a few times a week for blood tests and whatnot..so that's definitely great news.
He still hasn't been feeling great. He's still having throat problems, but is still on pain medication that he controls himself. So, at least he's in control of it and doesn't have to wait.
So, I am home. I'm staying with my grandparents for the time being, and hopefully going to be getting a job here. I feel terrible about not staying in Boston, but I have several reasons for NEEDING to be home for a bit..even if it's just temporary. Our finances aren't getting any better if I'm spending ALL of my time in the hospital..and even though I just got home yesterday, I'm pretty sure I already have a hostessing job..I just have to wait until the hiring manager gets back from vacation, which will be next week. I'm also going to be taking at least one online class to keep myself in forward motion toward graduating..eventually..haha. I've fallen far behind now, so I'd like to put myself back on track with that. I intend to head to Boston to visit as often as I can..but considering the job market there wasn't too promising..and this seemed to work better for my emotional state, I needed to come home. I hope nobody thinks that I'm being selfish in this..Dan and I have both discussed it and he's very understanding about the whole thing, and I just hope that everyone else can understand as well. Please feel free to contact with questions concerning that.
Also, Dan's room phone is available to call if anyone wants to get in touch with him. 617-732-4217..I believe it only operates between 6am - 9pm..soo..preferably between those hours..and if he doesn't answer wait a little while and then call back because he might be sleeping.
Anyway..that's all of the info I really have for now..please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns! Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support!
